Menstruation Care

Most females experience menstruation problems at one time or another during their life. Heavy periods, painful periods, irregular periods, or absent periods are especially common among teens.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe form of PMS, are real conditions with real symptoms and can be treated. The female doctors at Mission Obstetrics and Gynecology in Warren, Michigan are ready to listen to your concerns and provide you with treatment so you can look forward to more comfortable periods.

Heavy Periods (Menorrhagia)

All females have a heavy period at one time or another, but some women consistently experience heavy bleeding (menorrhagia), periods that last seven days or longer, or both. There are several causes of menorrhagia, including hormone imbalance and fibroids.

Our experienced female doctors can determine the cause of your heavy periods and provide treatment, including NovaSure®. Please feel free to discuss all of your concerns with us.

Painful Periods (Dysmenorrhea)

Severe pain and stomach problems are symptoms of extremely painful periods (dysmenorrhea) and can interfere with daily activities. In some cases, dysmenorrhea is caused by an underlying medical condition, such as endometriosis or fibroids. The doctors at Mission Obstetrics and Gynecology have the expertise and experience to diagnose and treat the cause of your painful periods.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) & Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

Symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) include headache, abdominal pain, digestion problems, sleep difficulties, mood changes, and thought-processing difficulties that occur in the days before a period begins. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a more severe form of PMS. Both are real medical conditions with real symptoms.

At Mission Obstetrics and Gynecology, we genuinely listen to your concerns and are dedicated to providing you with the best treatment for all of your symptoms. If you experience abnormal bleeding, PMS, or PMDD, make an appointment by calling (586) 574-1313 or using our online appointment request form.
